Jeff Hodge, A native from the Islands …Catalina, Staten Island, Galveston, Coronado, Alcatraz, Rhode Island, Coney Island (insert whichever Island that is closest to you that makes this joke funny) …  resides in Los Angeles California.  Actually, Jeff was born in the Virgin Islands and yes Jeff Hodge is his real name.  Many of his American friends expected Jeff to have an Island name like Khalibobahaikemaicomoibonesibonesy.  Hey that’s his mother’s name.

Jeff moved to America to find a job.  He heard that American women liked guys in uniforms, so he got a job at Burger King.  He didn’t get any ladies, but he got a year’s supply of ketchup.  While working at Burger king, Jeff noticed that he could make customers laugh simply by counting from 1 to tree.  So he decided to try stand-up comedy.  During his first few times on stage, no one laughed.  Then Jeff bought himself a Hooked-On-Phonics tape and learned to speak American.  That’s when he started having success.

Since getting into comedy seventeen years ago, Jeff has accomplished many things including appearing in the feature films Deuce Bigalow:  Male Gigolo, Crocodile Dundee in L.A. and the television sitcom The Parkers.  Jeff has opened for such big name acts as David Sanborn, Arsenio Hall and George Lopez.

Jeff has also written for George Lopez, Arsenio Hall, the Keenan Ivory Waynan’s Show and The Steve Harvey Radio Show.  Jeff has authored several successful humor books on driving: 101+ Ways To Get Out Of A Traffic Ticket, Pet Peeves:  Things That Tick Me Off About Driving and 101 Ways To Stay Awake When On The Road.  All three titles have sold well over 100,000 copies causing the books to go multi-aluminum on the Bestsellers List.

Jeff’s current projects include producing and starring in the live comedy show, Ambassadors of Comedy, which features America’s funniest foreign comedians ( www.ambassadorsofcomedy.com ).  He recently returned from an eight city USO Tour of the Middle East where he entertained tens of thousands of troops from all branches of the United States Military and other Coalition Forces.  Jeff latest book titled, 101+ Ways How To Keep A Man, was released on Valentine’s Day 2006.

Although Jeff is from the Virgin Islands, audiences always seem to remember him as the Jamaican comedian.  His humor comes from his perspective --- the trials and tribulation of a foreigner living in the United States.  Jeff is often referred to as a Yakoff Smirnoff with an Island twist.  So even if you cannot pronounce his mother’s name or remember what Island Jeff is from, after seeing his act you are sure to agree with the journalist who wrote, “…the bottom line is, he’s funny.”
